Mitsubishi 18,000 BTU Mini Split for a Cape Coral Master Bedroom

This Cape Coral job was a mini split for the master bedroom. One room, one system, 18,000 BTU of Mitsubishi equipment. A bedroom that runs warm while the rest of the house sits fine is a common call down here, and a dedicated unit is usually the cleaner fix than fighting the whole duct system over it.

The photo shows the indoor unit uncrated on a pallet in the driveway before we set it. Fan wheel, motor and corner mounting brackets are all right there in the open. We stage equipment on pavers and check it over before anything goes up, because finding shipping damage on the ground beats finding it on a ceiling.

Why a mini split in one room

Southwest Florida humidity does not care which room you are in. A properly sized unit serving a single bedroom pulls moisture out of that space on its own schedule, so the room holds temperature overnight without overcooling the rest of the house. Sizing matters more than most people think. Oversize it and it short cycles and leaves the air damp.
